An education workshop was conducted today at Shikshantar to discuss the ways through which the present education system can be improved so that when a kid grows up to become an adult, he/she has all the qualities to succeed professionally as well as all the morals values to contribute to the development of the society.
In the workshop today, many students, parents and teachers participated. Juli Gassner, who is a researcher from Australia, addressed the workshop and demonstrated through her experience that how some of the basics of education, such as creativity, values, ethics et cetera, can be imbibed in the kids at a young age.
Gassner runs an open school in her country for the kids of age 1 – 13 years. She does not believe in teaching students with regular rudimentary methods as taught in our schools, so, she has developed her own way of teaching. In the workshop, she asked parents to make sure that their kids learn moral values, ethics and respect for others which could make them a better human being.
