Eighty make it to Indian Institute of Technology
Eighty students of Udaipur have been selected in the IIT-JEE, the highly competitive exam for students seeking admission to the country’s best institutes for engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) of which fifty four have been called for counseling. The result of IIT-JEE was declared on 18th May.

Lekha Choudhry with an All India Rank (AIR) of 867 had the distinction of securing the first position in Udaipur District. Others who have also secured their position for the counseling include Udit Agarwal, Akshesh Doshi, Gopal and Genil Jain.
Of the selected students, 30 are from Resonance, 26 from Cambridge of which 16 are from Udaipur, 11 from Accent and 1 from Career Point.
19 out of the selected students were from MDS School, Pratap Nagar and Hiran Magri Sector 3. The students studying in these schools who have cleared the entrance test had been coached by Resonance.
Examination was conducted on 8th April in all major cities of the country with a total turnout of 4, 79, 651 students attempting to secure admission to these institutes.
The All India Topper of IIT-JEE is Arpit Aggarwal from Faridabad.
The cut-off percentage for General Category students is 35% while it is 17.5% for SC & ST.
In an attempt to be more transparent, the IITs have published the evaluated answer sheets of all the students, on their website on 5th May & students were given an opportunity to apply for revision of their marks if they had found any scope for correction.
IIT-JEE is considered one of the toughest and hence most prestigious entrance examinations in the country. The candidates who clear the entrance are eligible for admission to 15 IITs, IT-BHU and ISM Dhanbad.
