Interactive Online Learning for Students of Classes 6 to 12 Online Learning Eklavya by CBSE

CBSE and IIT Gandhinagar have collaborated to launch the online interactive learning series named Eklavya Series, which will go online every Sunday afternoon from September 26.

This series has been developed as a success tool for implementing the New Education Policy 2020 that envisages a transformational shift in education. As per CBSE circular to all schools, the goal of the NEP 2020 is to nurture student creativity, out of box thinking, conceptual understanding and learning how to learn. This series is meant for students from classes 6-12 and for teachers. Mathematics and Sciences will form the curriculum.

The first session would be on Physics and it would explain Newton's Laws of Motion - citing the example of Olympian Gold Medalist Neeraj Chopra and why he threw his Javelin at 36 degrees in the Olympic finals.

With this objective the CBSE and IIT Gandhnagar Eklavya Series will clarify the goals of the NEP and showcase how effectively NEP can be implemented.

This interactive online educational program will go online on Sunday September 26 and the sessions will be held each Sunday afternoon thereon. It will contain:

  • numerous hand-on activities, projects, models that help in conceptual understanding of various topics
  • thought provoking questions, assignments, which promote out-of-the-box creative thinking
  • insipiring DIY (Do It Yourself) project videos using local material which relate life events with the curruculum

The series will equip students and teachers with scientific temper and key competencies. All schools have been asked to maximise student and teachers participation in this ground breaking online interactive platform by CBSE.
