Udaipur’s local center members of The Institution of Engineers (India) visited Solar Observatory on 11^th March as a part of their Technical Visit.

Director and Chief Prof P. Venkatkrishnan illustrated the history and activities of Solar Observatory through presentations and speech. He also mentioned the essential information about the sun.

During the visit, Reader and Scientist Dr. Brajesh Kumar showcased and explained the working of the Gong Telescope to the students installed at the Observatory’s lab. The widely used Gong Telescope continuously observes the sun, its internal structure and surface and provides useful information.
