With the objective of igniting the minds of younger generation and to bring out their thought process, UT, in association with Big Bazaar, is organizing an essay competition for school students.

The theme of the essay competition is “Udaipur of My Dreams”. Students will have to list out things that they like about Udaipur, things that they would like to change and the steps that they would suggest for making those changes.

Under the Theme of “Udaipur of My Dreams”, students will have to write an essay of up to 1000 words focusing on the following key areas:

· What do you like about Udaipur?

· What are the 5 key things you want to change?

· How can these changes be made?

· What can Government & general public do to make it a better place?

Entries will be judged on the basis of how creative and realistic the solutions are of making Udaipur a better place.

The participants will be divided into 3 broad age categories for purpose of evaluation:

· Sub -Junior Category: 10-12 years

· Junior Category: 12-15 years

· Senior Category: 15-18 years

Certificate of Participation will be awarded to all participants. Prizes will be awarded to Top-3 entries in each category. Further, UT will be presenting the top-3 entries to the Collector of Udaipur to showcase the vision of the future leaders. All the selected entries will also be published on udaipurtimes.com.

The prizes have been sponsored by Big Bazaar, Resonance & Max Pro Education. Resonance would be providing consolation prizes from 4th to 10th Position, in all three categories.

Results will be announced in a gala ceremony on 28^th Oct at 11:00 am at Big Bazaar. The ceremony will be hosted by RJ Ankit from 94.3 My FM. On-the-spot prizes will be also provided to the participants by Resonance and Big Bazaar.

Entries to be submitted on white paper with details including name, age, school & class and a passport size photograph needs to be submitted with each entry. Entries can also be submitted at your respective School or at UdaipurTimes.com office (opp. Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal) or Big Bazaar (Near Sukhadia Circle) or at Resonance Centre (Anand Plaza and Ashok Nagar).

Last date for submitting the entries is 21^st Oct 2012.
