Around 10 students were injured in a fight that broke out between two groups in junior boys hostel at RNT Medical college premises last night. 2 students were seriously injured in the fights that involved stone/brick throwing and stick attacks.

Around 10 students were injured in a fight that broke out between two groups in junior boys hostel at RNT Medical college premises last night. 2 students were seriously injured in the fights that involved stone/brick throwing and stick attacks.

Police from Hathipole Police Station reached the spot on hearing about the incident. Stone pelting was still going on when police reached the hostel area. On arrival of the Police, one of the students cut off the power line throwing the area into dark.

Meanwhile, while two of the students were taken to emergency for medical aid, two of the assailants reached the area with intent of causing further injury. Police, however, rounded up these assailant there. The two assailants were taken to Police station from there. There was no report lodged from either student group till late night.

As per details received, there was a drinks party organised for senior boys in junior boys hostel of RNT Medical college at around 8 pm. During this party, watching one of the groups having fun, the other group started shattering liquor bottles. While this was going on, MBBS student Mohit Meena came out of room no 23 and got into an fight.

From one group Mohit Meena, Gulshan Meena and Deepak Jharwal were injured while from the other group, Rakesh Jharwal was injured in an iron rod attack outside the hostel. Rakesh received heavy injuries on his head.

Police took Gulshan and Deepak to the Police Station.

Deepak was on suspension from the hostel and currently staying in Ashok Nagar. He had come to the hostel in a party organised by Gulshan.
