Rajasthan to conduct Foundational Learning Study 2026 on April 24–25 across 41 districts; more than 6,000 Class 4 students to be assessed using tablet-based evaluation
Udaipur, April 20, 2026 - A survey titled Foundational Learning Study (FLS) 2026, will be carried out across Rajasthan by the Rajasthan State Educational Research and Training Council. This initiative, to be conducted on April 24 and 25, 2026, will assess foundational learning levels of students across the State.
The purpose of this survey is to find out if children can read to learn and understand basic mathematical operations.
Under this study, a total of 6,132 students from 511 selected government and private schools across 41 districts will be evaluated. The selected students will be from those who have recently completed Class 3 and moved up to Class 4.
Coordinator Beena Nahar said the assessment will be conducted through a tablet-based, one-on-one process. This method will ensure faster and more accurate real-time data collection and analysis.
Prior to the assessment, an orientation programme for district-level coordinators and trained instructors will be held on April 20 and 21.
