French humanoid Robot “Nao” reached Udaipur from Paris with the objective of learning Mewari. Nao already knows about 19 languages and intends to learn Hindi and Mewari so that people can then engage with Nao even via these languages. Nao is the first of its kind Robot to have visited the state when it reached Techno India NJR Institute of Technology this week.

Nao can cook, knead dough, drive car, purchasea stuff online, sing song and even work in conjunction with Orchestras.

R.S.Vyas, Director Techno NJR, said that Nao is the first generational humanoid robot. It can give information of all kinds. Over 10,000 Nao robots have been sold world over. It operates via a special kind of programming and uses google for answering various queries. It can be connected via Wi-Fi for activating its internal computer. Nao works with 7 sensory elements including microphones and speakers.

Vyas further informed that Techno India has an agreement with IBM under which a new lab will also be established. Students will be able to garner additional information about cloud computing, data analycs, internet of things, artificial intelligence etc.
