Udaipur, October 26, 2024 - Online applications for the 2024-25 academic year for Gargi and Balika Protsahan Puruskaar scholarship schemes have started. Eligible girl candidates can fill out the online application form through the Shala Darpan portal under the Balika Shiksha Protsahan tab. The last date to apply is November 30.

The State Education Department has instructed the District Education Officer (Secondary) that the heads of government schools and private educational institutions will be responsible to ensure eligible candidates submit their applications by November 30. If a candidate misses out on applying then the institution head will be held responsible, the department has said.

For the Gargi award, students who have passed 10th grade this year with over 75% marks will receive Rs 3,000 and a certificate. Girls who scored over 75% in 12th grade will be awarded the Balika Protsahan Puruskaar of Rs 3,000.

To be eligible for the award, the candidate’s marksheet from Secondary/Higher Secondary and the data recorded in the Jan Aadhaar card (girl's name, parents’ name, date of birth and gender) must fully match. The award amount will be directly transferred to the candidate’s account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
