The registration for the Graduate Admission Test for Engineering begins from August 28, 2024. Interested candidates will need to visit the official website https://gate2025.iitr.ac.in/ to register for the examination. The details of the registration process, timelines, deadlines, fee, centres, etc is available on the given official website. The last date for applying online is September 26 2024 (Regular Fee) and 7 October 7, 2024 (with Late Fee). The examination is scheduled for Feb 1, 2, 15 and 16, 2025.

Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IITR) is organising the GATE 2025, and having a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology (BE/BTech) is the minimum requirement for this examination. Students in the Third Year of their BE/BTech program can also apply for this examination. GATE is the qualifying examination for entry into the Masters (Post Graduate) program at the IITs, NITs and CFTs. Qualified Candidates are offered a Masters Program (MTech) at these institutes.

There is no age limit in applying for GATE and there is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can take with the GATE examination.
