GATEFORUM, an institute that prepares graduate students for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has launched its first center in Udaipur at 59, Hiran Magri Sector-4.

GATEFORUM, an institute that prepares graduate students for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has launched its first center in Udaipur at 59, Hiran Magri Sector-4.

GATE is an entrance exam conducted annually for admissions to various Science and Technology post-graduate programs in India. Apart from M.Tech and other technical post graduate course admissions, the GATE Score is being increasingly used in the Recruitment of Engineering graduates into top PSU companies in the country.

Abhijeet Chaudhari, one of the Directors of GATEFORUM informed us that GATE is the second most attempted competitive exam given in India, after the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). He added, “This year over 6.86 Lac students appeared for the GATE examination.”

The institute has 50 centers around the country and the newly launched center in Udaipur is the 3rd in Rajasthan.

The Udaipur centre of GATEFORUM will be headed by Dr. Gajendra Purohit. Dr. Purohit briefed us about the Udaipur Centre. He said, “The Centre in Udaipur is completely ready and equipped with all the major facilities classrooms need. We have computer based classes, and we also provide eGATE, an internet based live classes provision for GATE.”

2,297 students from Udaipur have registered for GATE ’12.
