Rajasthan News | Ajmer to Get its First Formal Sainik School For Girls at Hathikheda
Udaipur, July 10, 2026 | Ajmer, Rajasthan News: The Work Order for the Rs 20 Crore Government Girl's Sainik School in Ajmer has been issued under the directives of the State Government. This project was a part of the state budget for 2026-27.
Assembly Speaker Requests for Sainik School
It is on the request of the Assmbly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, that the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal agreed to the establishment of the state's first girl's Sainik School at Ajmer. The institution will be built at Hathikheda, at a cost of Rs 20 Crore, as announced in the budget. The project, to be built on 20 acres of land, will be executed through the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SAMSA). The project work is expected to commence in August 2026 and expected to end before the academic session of 2028-29.
As per Devnani, the campus will be equipped with modern amenities, academic blocks, hostels, indoor games hall, sports grounds, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts and a parade ground among other essential infra. This will provide the girl students with an environment conducive to military training along with quality education.
Military School Establishments in Ajmer
Ajmer hosts one of the five Rashtriya Military School's in India. This school was established in 1930 and was formerly called the King George's Royal Indian Military School. It is a boys only school.
