Udaipur, February 27, 2025 - The Education Department is introducing a new system for student attendance. Now, attendance will be recorded through a mobile app. This initiative will first be launched as a pilot project. If successful, it will be implemented in other schools. In the first phase, this system will be tested in 134 Swami Vivekananda Model Schools and 205 Mahatma Gandhi Government Higher Secondary Schools. The aim is to ensure that teachers reach the classroom on time.

Real-Time Attendance Tracking

With this system, attendance data will be available to the department in real time. Once recorded, attendance can only be modified on the same day. Monthly reports will be accessible on the Shala Darpan portal.

Attendance Guidelines

The institution head and staff must download the app and teachers must record student attendance daily. Each class teacher should be mapped on the Shala Darpan portal. If the class teacher is absent, the institution head will record attendance and if attendance is not recorded on the app, Form 09 must be filled out. Attendance must be recorded during the first period.
