Guidelines regarding re-opening of coaching institutes cause dissatisfaction

The guidelines state that the coaching institutes will be responsible for the treatment of any student found corona positive after attending classes. This has been stated as unfair and unjustifiable by the institutes and if not taken off will attract protest.

Schools, coaching institutes and colleges are going to re-open from 18th January and the department has issued certain guidelines pertaining to the safety of the students in the pandemic era. Certain points in the guidelines have caused a stir among the coaching institutes and have invited a lot of dissatisfaction.

As per points 11 and 12 of the guidelines, if any student is found covid positive after attending classes; that particular coaching institute will be responsible for bearing all the expenses of the treatment of the student after referring him or her to the nearest covid centre.

This has aroused feelings of injustice and the coaching institutes have received support from private schools on the issue.

It has been demanded that these particular points be removed or amended with immediate effect failing which the institutes will be forced to protest.
