Centre for Women’s Studies of Guru Nanak Girls PG College organized a conference on the topic ‘Women Empowerment through Education’ on Thursday at the college’s conference hall.

Program was conducted by Rekha Tiwari; the chief speaker on the occasion was Head of Biotechnology department of Science College, Professor Kanika Sharma and chief guest on the occasion was Dean of Science College, Professor Mahip Bhatnagar.

Director of Guru Nanak Girls College, Professor G. M. Mehta welcomed the guests and spoke about the importance of Women Empowerment.

Kanika Sharma, in her speech, touched several aspects of women’s life and the ways women can be empowered. She emphasized on the education of girl child and said that education is the biggest step that can lead to empowerment of women.
