Hardik Kothari of Udaipur Grabs 72nd Position in IIT-JEE 2011
Udaipur boy Hardik Kothari an IIT-JEE 2011 aspirant bagged All India Ranking 72. Out of nearly 1800 JEE aspirants from Udaipur, Hardik Kothari from Maharana Mewar Public School is on top of the list. The second position in Udaipur goes to Shubham Agarwal with AIR 121 followed by Apar Patiyat with AIR 289.

Cambridge Institute tops the chart with 13 of their students who cleared the prestigious exam of IIT-JEE 2011 followed by Catalyst Coaching Center with 9 of their students passed IIT-JEE this year including Hardik Kothari who took his coaching from Catalyst. Other coaching centers of Udaipur, 3 students from Career Point and 2 from Resonance, 1 from Iqra and 4 from Ascent, succeeded in the exams.
Hardik Kothari, student of MMPS has also passed his 12th board with 93.8% with marvelous 100/100 in both chemistry and math. Though, Hardik’s favorite subject is physics where he scored 92 in 12th CBSE exam 2011.
In IIT-JEE Hardik scored 134 in physics, 119 in chemistry and 135 in math out of 160 marks.
In a brief interview with us, Hardik shared his over joyful feelings and some experiences while preparing for the JEE. He said, “My aim was to get the two-figure rank, I finally did that.” When asked why not one? Hardik answered smiling, “I started preparing for JEE bit late, that was the main reason I was not over expecting.”
Studying for 10-15 hours daily including coaching, home and school, Hardik is ready to bang in IIT Bombay to opt one of his favorite subjects Computer Science.
When asked what’s the secret of his brilliant result Hardik said that “It’s all because of strong and clear basic concepts which is really helpful to solve complex looking queries. Another important point is “FOCUS”, if you are not focused then it is certainly difficult to get the good results. Instead of running everywhere for course materials, I concentrated on only what my coaching institute Catalyst was providing me.”
A die-hard cricket fan, Hardik adores cricket star Virendra Sehwag. “I respect him because of his simplicity.”

Praising Hardik’s hard work Rovi Kothari – Director of Catalyst said that “He is down to earth, simple and very focused student. We were confident about his results, it was nearly same as he performed in our mock test.”
Saleha Iqbal did her coaching from Bansal Classes, Udaipur. She is the only girl from Udaipur who ranked under 100.
The 3rd position in Udaipur, Shubham Agarwal (photo above) with 121 rank has lists of achievements. Shubham had reached to the 2nd round of Physics-Chemistry-Astronomy Olympiad, he scored 376 in BITSAT which was highest in Udaipur and in another exam conducted by Indian Institute of Space Technology, Shubham secured 208th rank in India.
