S.S. College of Engineering hosted a seminar by Vice-president of IBM India, Dr. C.H Murthy today at the seminar hall of the college. Dr. Rajiv Vaghmare, a prominent educationist and principal of Saber College, Gujarat was also present in the seminar.

 In his address Dr. Murthy said that there is no better use of knowledge, other than sharing it. He introduced ‘Mentor Mentee’, a special program by IBM to the present audience which included faculty members and the students. He briefly touched topics like Watson Program, Voice Web and Speech Recognition.

He also advised the students to keep themselves pro-active, to give first priority to work and to remain a learner.

Dr. Murthy also answered the queries of the students. He visited laboratories and classes after the seminar, met the teaching fraternity and gave his valuable suggestions during his stay at the college. Abhay Singhvi, Managing Director of the college said, “Visits and seminars by such personalities always inspire studens. This seminar is undoubtedly of great benefit for our students.”
