Approximately 7000 students of class Xth from the selected 161 ICT Schools appeared for the Online/Offline test, which was a part of Project Utkarsh.
Project Utkarsh is a joint initiative of Hindustan Zinc Ltd and Moini Foundation. It is run under the auspices of the Secondary Education Department, under the guidelines of the District Administration.
The primary objective of this test, which was held from 29th Sept till 3rd October, was to evaluate the students basic understanding of the subjects/topics they were being taught, at the initial level.
The test was successfully completed, with enthusiastic participants giving their best under the supervision of District Collector, Rohit Gupta and District Education Officer Shivaji Gaud. The test was administered by ADEO Virendra Pancholi, District Coordinator Pushpendra Sharma, Additional District Coordinator Manju Chowdhary, Project Utkarsh Coordinator Aayush Maheshwari, Mohammad Rizwan and Yatish Swarnkar.
Over 70% of the participating students belong to rural areas, hence inspite of lack of Internet acumen, Computer efficiency and other such adverse conditions, the successful completion of the Online/Offline Test is a big achievement for the ICT Schools. Apart from the students, full credit goes to the teachers who took to the task with full seriousness and were unbiased in their approach, while conducting the test through the Quiz Academy.
Students were asked 60 questions from their course curriculum itself and were given 30 minutes to answer the questions.
