IIM Udaipur hikes fees | Foreign students will also be given admission

In a policy change for the session starting 2017, IIM Udaipur has decided to hike fees for the flagship PGP course. Number of seats for admission will also be increased and seats have also been reserved for students from other nationalities.

Fees for the two-year PGP course will be hiked from Rs 9.5L to Rs 11L. Number of seats will also be increased from the present 180 to 240. Currently IIM Udaipur runs 3 sections but this number will be increased to 4 considering the increased intake.

As per IIM Udaipur’s admission policy for 2017, 5% seats will also be reserved for students from other nationalities. These 5% seats will be in addition of 240 seats reserved for Indian students. Fees for students of foreign origin has been kept at Rs 15L for the two year course.

The fees increase in being justified to account for the maintenance and expenses of the newly constructed premises. It may be noted that IIM Udaipur became the first of the 6 new IIMs to completely shift to its permanent premises. IIM Udaipur had started the academic activities in the new campus from early October 2016 and the students are expected to shift to the permanent campus hostel in first week of January 2017.
