The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur successfully placed 99% of the students of PGP 2016-18 through its placement process. The highest salary package was quoted at Rs 53 Lakh per annum.

 
IIM Udaipur reports highest salary of Rs 53 Lakhs

The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur successfully placed 99% of the students of PGP 2016-18 through its placement process. The highest salary package was quoted at Rs 53 Lakh per annum.

The institute, which has recently secured a NIRF 2018 ranking of 13 among the top management institutes of the country, managed to successfully place 170 out of 172 students who opted for the process from a batch of 179. 3 other students opted for entrepreneurship while 2 students returned back to family business and 2 students going in for further education.

A total of 12 students received international offers, 50% increase as compared to that of the previous year. The Overall average CTC of the positions offered was 13.16 LPA. The average salary statistics (Domestic Offers) for Top 10 percentile, Top 25 percentile, Top 50 percentile stand at INR 18.8 LPA, INR 16.9 LPA, and INR 15.36 LPA respectively. The highest international offer for this year’s placement process was of 53 LPA, whereas the highest domestic offer made was of 19.5 LPA.

Sales and Marketing domain saw the highest number of offers made, with 57 students securing jobs in this domain. 41 students bagged General Management profile.

The placement process witnessed participation from across sectors with 31 offers in the IT sector, 17 in Finance, 17 in Consulting/Analytics and 8 in Operations.

The PGP 2016-18 batch had 71% students with prior work experience with an average work experience of 20 months. The placement process saw a participation of a total of 63 companies, which made offers to the students in roles across various domains.

Furthermore, three students from previous batches were provided deferred placement support. Similar support is extended to three students of the current batch opting for entrepreneurship. The Institute commits to provide placement holiday for up to two years from the date of graduation to individuals wishing to pursue their own ventures. This is in line with the Institute’s vision to nurture the entrepreneurial aspirations of its students, and to provide them the necessary security while they follow their dreams

The impressive placement statistics bear testament of the institute’s pursuit of excellence, as reflected in the recent NIRF rankings, which saw the Institute ranked as the 1st among all the new IIMs. “The performance of the students is a testament to the increasing recognition that the corporate world has in the institute’s academic rigor and professional outlook. The possibilities and challenges that await the students ahead are going to be part of the defining years for the country”, said Professor Janat Shah, Director, IIM Udaipur.
