IIM (Indian Institute of Management)  is coming up in Udaipur. The reactions from people are noticeable; high expectations are over flowing, it seems like a God of MBA is coming to Udaipur. In fact, it’s not even wrong saying them God of MBA in India. After all they have nurtured many students to the highest corporate positions globally, but are we over expecting from IIM Udaipur? There are so many questions hitting my mind since I read this news. I am pretty confused so thought why don’t I share my views and ask you to come up with your opinions. After all, where we get a platform to talk about such things openly? How will be the relation of IIM Udaipur and the Udaipurites? Are we prepared to welcome such a respectable and high demand institute? Is our city is technically and socially ready to keep that level of standard which other IIM institutes located in India’s various cities? Psychologically, we carry a different, over sized impression with the name IIM. Rather than taking it as an institute we hopefully think it will change Udaipur and our everyday lifestyle. That’s in fact a good sign to grow our general thinking which somehow will affect our life style positively.
