IIT GATE 2025 Application Correction Deadline Extended

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has extended the application correction deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. Candidates can now make changes to their application forms until November 10, 2024. This extension is available on the official GATE website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in or http://gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Details of the Correction Process

Candidates wishing to modify their application details can make changes such as name, date of birth, choice of exam city, existing paper, and adding a second paper. Each change will incur a fee of Rs 500/-.

Previous Deadline Extension

IIT Roorkee had previously extended the application deadline with a late fee until October 11, 2024. This decision followed numerous requests from applicants seeking more time to complete their applications.

Examination Schedule

GATE 2025 is set to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The examination will be conducted in two sessions morning and afternoon on each of these dates. There will be 30 test papers, all in objective type, and the exam papers will be available in English. 

Admit Card Release Date

Candidates can expect the admit card for GATE 2025 to be released on January 2, 2025.

Steps to Make Corrections

  1. Go to the official GATE 2025 website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
  2. Look for the link that states, “Application rectification link is active now for GATE 2025.”
  3. Review the fee charges for modifications, then click on the link to log in to the new window.
  4. Enter your login credentials and submit.
  5. Make the necessary modifications and pay the applicable fee.
  6. Submit your changes and download the confirmation page.
  7. Print a copy of the confirmation page for your records.
