Inauguration of Winter School at Rajasthan College of Agriculture
The inaugural function of Winter School on Participatory Extension, Research and Management was organized today at the Dept of Extension Education, Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur. The function was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor, MPUAT, Udaipur Dr. OP Gill, also the Chief Guest.

Prof. OP Gill emphasized that the need of the hour is to take the due advantages of participatory techniques in identifying, analyzing, finding out, prioritizing and to determine the best possible solution for sustainable agriculture and rural development with due mobilization of local communities and stake holders.
He stressed upon integrated farming system in the presence of prominent and progressive farmers. Dr. SR Maloo expressed that the present winter school is an integrated mixture of all possible discipline of agricultural sciences representing 13 states of the country.
This program will last up till 22nd December 2014. All the participants pledged to learn all possible techniques of participatory extension, research and management.
In the views of Dr. Dangi, “This school will be useful for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of agriculture and rural development programs with the active participation of the rural communities.”
