MLSU is set to walk the path of Gurukul education of ancient India. Towards this, MLSU will soon have India’s first Spiritual Knowledge Temple (SKT). It is being claimed that this will be the first of its kind knowledge temple in India. At SKT, students and knowledge lovers would be able to study about religious books from all over the world.
After entering the SKT, people will have to provide their basic information at the entry counter. Like the Gurukul culture, people will be able to enter the premises only after taking off their shoes. SKT will not have any chairs or tables. Selected religious books will be placed on wooden racks and people will be able to study these books by sitting on the floor and reading.
Prof JP Sharma, VC, MLSU said, “All religions promote peace and well being of all humans. Hence the University has decided to come up with this special setup. Spiritual Knowledge Temple will be inaugurated in September”.
One portion of the Central Library in the administrative building of MLSU has been emptied for this purpose. SKT will host Vedas, Upanishadas, Puranas, Geeta, Ramayana, Bible, Quran and other religious books. Entries of all books will be available in a computer.
