The district-level Science exhibitions will be held from January 30 to February 20; participation in this exhibition is mandatory for the selected students
Udaipur, January 28, 2025 - The Education Department has announced the schedule for the district-level Science exhibitions which will be held from January 30 to February 20. Selected child scientists for the INSPIRE Award, given by the Ministry of Science and Technology, will showcase their projects in an exhibition.
In the 2023-24 session, 6,830 students from Rajasthan were selected for the INSPIRE Award. These students had submitted their ideas to the Ministry and those selected were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
The exhibitions will be organised based on 33 districts. Top 5-10 percentage of participants will be selected for the State-level INSPIRE Award exhibition.
Participation in this exhibition is mandatory for the selected students. Instructions have been given to ensure accommodation, tea, snacks and meals for all the students. Travel allowance is included in the award amount for all students, according to the department.
INSPIRE, Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research, scheme is one of the flagship programmes of the government’s Department of Science & Technology (DST). It aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in Grades 6 to 10. The objective of the scheme is to “target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children”.
