Top 20 Percentile for IIT Admission Released by Maharashtra Board

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, has announced the cut-off marks for the top 20 percentile required for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for the year 2024.

For the year 2024, the cut-off marks for general candidates and general Economically Weaker Section (EWS) students stand at 378. Meanwhile, for Other Backward Classes Non-Creamy Layer (OBC NCL) candidates, the cut-off marks are set at 383. For Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates, the cut-off is 364, and for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates, it is 366. Notably, these cut-off marks reflect a significant increase compared to the previous year's cut-offs, which were 348 for general and EWS candidates, 352 for OBC NCL, 331 for SC, and 323 for ST.

In other related news, IIT Madras is gearing up to conduct the JEE Advanced examination on Sunday, May 26, 2024. The examination will consist of Paper 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm on the same day.

Candidates who have applied for JEE Advanced 2024 can already access their admit cards. To download the hall tickets, candidates are required to fill their registration number, password, and registered mobile number.

Following the examination, candidates will be able to access their JEE Advanced responses on the official website starting May 31, 2024. The provisional answer key will be released on June 2, 2024 with feedback and comments accepted until June 3,2024. The final answer key and results are scheduled to be declared online on June 9, 2024,according to the notification by IIT Madras.
