JEE Advanced

Udaipur, November 19, 2024 - New guidelines have been issued for the JEE Advanced exam with a revision in the number of tries. Yesterday, IIT Kanpur issued a press release to this effect announcing that the number of attempts for JEE Advanced has been reduced from three to two.

Therefore, as per the new two-attempt notification, students who passed their Grade 12 exams in 2023 will no longer be eligible to appear for the exam.

So as per the new rule, eligible candidates for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be students who either passed their Grade 12 board exams in 2024 and meet the requirements, or those who will appear and pass the Grade 12 exams in 2025 and meet the requirements.

A recent directive had increased the number of attempts from two to three, but this decision was reversed by the Joint Admission Board (JAB) following a meeting among members.
