The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025, which will be conducted in two sessions. The first session is scheduled to take place from January 22 to 31, 2025, while the second session will occur in April 2025.
The application process for the first session began on October 28 and will remain open until November 22. Interested candidates can register online at the official JEE Main website: jeemain.nta.nic.in or http://jeemain.nta.nic.in. Results for the January session are expected to be announced on February 12, 2025.
Notably, this year, NTA has decided to eliminate the optional questions from Section B of the JEE Main papers. The JEE Main consists of two papers: Paper 1 for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) and Bachelor of Technology (BTech) candidates, and Paper 2 for Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) candidates.
In addition to JEE Main, the NTA has also released exam dates for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) and the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for 2025.
For context, in 2024, JEE Main saw significant participation, with over 12.2 lakh candidates registered for the January session and around 11.8 lakh for the April session. This reflects a steady increase in registrations over the past years, rising from 10.26 lakh in 2022 to 11.62 lakh in 2023.
Candidates are advised to keep track of important dates and prepare accordingly for the upcoming examination.
