Udaipur, January 3, 2025 - The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 Session 1. The exams will begin on January 22, 2025, and continue until January 31, 2025.

City Intimation Slip

The city intimation slip for JEE Main 2025 will be available in the first week of January 2025. Candidates can download it by entering their application number and password on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Admit Card Release Date

The admit card for JEE Main 2025 will be released three days before the exam, on January 19, 2025. Candidates must carry the admit card to the exam center.

Exam Schedule

BE/BTech (Paper 1):

  • Exam Dates: January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29

  • Shifts: First shift (9:00 am-12:00 noon), Second shift (3:00 pm-6:00 pm)

BArch (Paper 2A) and BPlanning (Paper 2B):

  • Exam Date: January 30

  • Shift: Second shift (3:00 pm-6:00 pm)

Exam Pattern and Languages

The JEE Main 2025 exam pattern has been revised. Section B no longer includes optional questions, and all questions in this section are mandatory.

  • Paper 1 (BE/BTech): 75 multiple-choice questions, 300 marks

  • Paper 2A (BArch): 77 questions, 400 marks

  • Paper 2B (BPlan): 100 questions, 400 marks

The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including Hindi, English, Assamese, and Tamil, among others.

Record Registrations

A record 13.8 lakh candidates have registered for JEE Main 2025 Session 1, surpassing last year’s 12.21 lakh registrations. This is the highest number of registrations in the exam’s history.

Qualifying Percentile Expectations

With increased competition, analysts predict that a minimum of 95 percentile will be needed to qualify for JEE Advanced, requiring scores between 170-180 marks. To achieve the prestigious 99.9 percentile, candidates may need to score 240-280 marks.
