A group of J&K students studying in a private university of Udaipur called on BJP State Secretary Pawan Khajuria and told him about the mental and physical harassment in the university.

The students alleged that they were manhandled by the authorities after they lodged a complaint against unhygienic food being served to them in the hostel mess. Manhandling and beating of the J&K students forced them to leave the university last month, they added.

They told Khajuria that a large number of students from J&K were admitted in the university few years back under special package of India’s PM for professional education training. The students said that they had left the university due to insecurity and now they want to rejoin their classes but with an assurance of adequate security by the University authorities.

Acting promptly, Pawan Khajuria made a telephonic contact with MP and sought necessary instructions to the authorities of the private university for security arrangements for the J&K students. Khajuria also brought the present situation into the notice of BJP state president and MP Jugal Sharma.
