Jugaad Exhibition Concludes
Jugaad Promotion Exhibition and Patent Workshop 2012 concluded today at Pacific University. The event was coordinated by Pacific Institute and Dainik Bhaskar and is claimed to be the first ever of its kind globally, by the administrators of the event. Jugaad Promotion Exhibition and Patent Workshop 2012 concluded today at Pacific University. The event was coordinated by Pacific Institute and Dainik Bhaskar and is claimed to be the first ever of its kind globally, by the administrators of the event.
The event showcased 90 jugaads on its first day and the number increased to 160 on the second day. The participants in the event were from all the corners of India. Jugaads displayed in the exhibition targeted towards simplifying the daily chores by using scarce resources.
Vijay Page Director General, M.E.T, Mumbai and B.R. Agrawal, Chairman, Paher Society were present on the concluding day of the event.
The jugaads presented includes Classic Liquid Detergents, Spare Wheel Wonder Wheel, Hydroponic, Desi Water Heater, Air Car, Indelible Ink Application Machine for Election, A.C. Cooler, Hybrid Vehicle, Orocane Enlight, Seat Belt Reminder, Charging Device On Cycle, Wind Loss Audio Transmission, Patal Rakshak, Automatic Multipurpose Dimmer Grinding Machine, Smart Solar Technical, Mini Hand Blender, Solar Water Heater.
The participants from Ajmer, Jaipur, Punjab, Haryana, Ahmedabad, Bikaner and Jodhpur took part in the event. Sudheer Mehta of Crisil said, “Pacific University is number one university in India which has initiated for such an event.”
A Few Jugaads displayed today were:-
Mini Invertor
Naveen Pariwala, Solar Power Consultant made a mini invertor with his 2 years hard work. The Invertor can provide backup to two light bulbs for regular 12 hours and one can charge mobile too.
Hand Blender
Jaineet Mandot, Student, M.D.S built a hand blender using the items such as Glu-stick, hair dryer motor, torch spring, battery charger, switch and Nokia connector which we can easily find at homes.
Economy Fan
Parshuram Kumawat, Kankroli made an economic fan which can also be used during light-cuts. It works on stock engine which works on electricity and also stores the charge for later use.
Mobile Bike Starter
Pankaj Badodia of Dausa built a mobile Bike Started working on G.S.M technology. The device functions in a way that when you dial some specific number, the engine starts and redialing the number causes the engine to stop.
On the last day of the event students from various schools also visited the exhibition including the students of Seedling Modern Public School, St. Paul’s and others.
B.R. Agrawal, distributed the reward of Rs. 1000 to every participant along with the participation certificate. The main prize distribution ceremony will be conducted after a month where a sum of Rs. 8 lac would be distributed amongst the winners in different category.
