AALIM Charitable Trust, Udaipur, having achieved satisfying progress in promoting higher education through grant of loan scholarships to needy students for the past nine years, has now launched a Knowledge Centre in the heart of the city at Ground Floor, Akbar Manzil, 148-150, Loha Bazar, Udaipur -313001, Raj.

Knowledge Centre aims to be a knowledge-sharing platform for all segments of society. As a first step a public library has started functioning at the premises. The library caters to reading tastes of all age groups from children to senior citizens.

Besides fiction, biographies and quality reference material special emphasis has been on providing books on study aids for competitions, Engineering, Basic Sciences, etc. The library at present is open on all days from 5PM to 8PM excluding Sundays.

The facility is free for all. However for issue of books a nominal membership fee of Rs 200/- per year is being charged. The center also has computers installed for training as well as for use by students in preparing project reports.

Contributions to the cause by way of donation of books and volunteering as Friends of Library are welcome.
