Kushal Babel of Udaipur is on the verge of recreating history made earlier by Yash Gupta. This prodigy of Class XI has once again made us proud in the recently concluded Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) of International Junior Science Olympiads.

This prodigy of Class XI has once again made us proud in the recently concluded Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) of International Junior Science Olympiads.

Kushal has been selected among top 6 students to represent India in the 9th International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) to be conducted in Tehran, Iran in December 2012.

Kushal is in Mumbai since the last 3 weeks to participate in the OCSC which was conducted at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) from 14th May and has concluded today on 2nd June.

He was amongst 35 students who had been shortlisted for OCSC after the first two stages of written Test which were NSEJS & INJSO. He cleared the stage -1 conducted in November 2011 & was amongst 580 odd students who were shortlisted for Stage-2 which was held on 28th January this year. He cleared Stage-2 also & managed a place for himself in the Top 35 who had been shortlisted for OCSC.

Kushal has been studying at Resonance Udaipur for the last 3 academic session in the Pre-foundation Career Care Program (PCCP) Division & have performed exceptionally well in all competitive & talent reward examinations in Udaipur City as well as outside.

Other students who have been selected include Pratyush Rajput (Jaipur), Nikhil (Hyderabad), Swati (Jaipur), Bhavya Chaudhary (Classroom Student of Resonance Kota) & Charles Rajan (PCCP Workshop Student – Resonance Bhopal).

Another student of Resonance Udaipur, Yash Gupta had earlier won the Gold Medal in IJSO 2010 held at Abuja, Nigeria.

IJSO is a prestigious examination conducted by HBCSE in India for students from the Science stream. The Exam is conducted in 5 stages. Stage -1 is conducted by Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT) while remaining stages are conducted by HBCSE.
