Police had to resort to lathi charge at commerce college today morning to keep the law and order situation under control.

With the Student Council election slated for 31-Aug, supporters from two different student groups got into a tangle today morning at Commerce college. The groups started shouting slogans against each other. The situation then gradually started getting out of control.

Police immediately reached the spot to keep situation under control. However, the student groups went out of control and Police was forced to resort to lathi charge to push the students out of campus and bring the situation under control.
