Learning Has No Boundries, French Students in Udaipur

In an exchange of students programme, four students from University of Normandy, France has opt to study 1 year specialized course in Banking, Insurance and Security at Advent Institute, one of the prestigious educational organizations of the city.

Lena Comar, Ombeline Lecref Caen, Alexandre Eich Gotti and Audry Noudongue are exploring the whole new world in Udaipur since they landed in the city in July this year.

“At first everything was so strange for us, be it the language, food or climate, but now we have started assimilating with the surroundings,” says Lena who originally belongs to Paris.

Ombeline said while talking to UT,“In this one year of learning program at Advent, we will get to know and understand the wide commercial spectrum of India, which will definitely help us in our further studies.”

Amita Singhvi, Principal of Advent Institute said, “These students came here to obtain a specialized certificate in banking, insurance and security. After studying for one year they will go back to their respective university to give exams and continue further studies.”

She said, “Advent is affiliated with Mohan Lal Sukhadia University of Udaipur and these students have come here to learn about the said subjects under students exchange programme.”

While having a long conversation with our correspondent, all four French students had discussed various issues and shared their good and bad experiences in Udaipur.

One of the student said, “We have not yet visited all the major tourist points of Udaipur but whatever we have seen and felt have been very impressive, especially the people here are so friendly and kind,” said Alexandre.

One of the students Audry said, “Before coming to Udaipur, we have read a lot about it through internet, the city is all beautiful as we read and imagined.”

When asked, what made them choose to study in Udaipur? They elegantly replied, “European market has some limits, while Indian market is far bigger and interesting than that. Coming to India and studying in Udaipur is a lifetime opportunity for us as we got introduced to both Indian economy and traditions.”

While talking about the education system, they said, “It is very different in India and France, we don’t have regular classes there but here, we are too much engaged whole day in attending classes, finishing the given projects etc.”

These foreign students are studying with other regular students, who will finish the basic course in 3 years which includes working on live projects, summer training etc.

Whatever the place in the world is, if one has a desire to learn then boundaries between nations don’t affect or become an obstacle for learners. Education has always bridged the societies and culture and we hope it continues with such initiatives.
