18 students who failed in the first semester of B.A LLB objected on the new regulation made by university which says that students who failed in the previous semester cannot give exam of next semester without clearing the former one.

The students protested on the rule which was re-introduced by the new dean of Law College, Prof. Anand Paliwal. Before Paliwal, under the former dean Sharad Shrivastava, failed students were allowed to give next exam and could clear both exams consecutively.

Today the students protested outside Vice Chancellor’s office but no decision was taken in their favor. Vice Chancellor Prof. I.V Trivedi made cleared to the students that they have to follow the regulations made by the dean of college.

Jaideep Singh, student of 5th Semester informed that from 2011 till 2012 under Sharad Shrivastava, students could opt for both exams simultaneously. Before that, those who were failing in any semester had to clear it first before opting for next.
