In the upcoming students’ union elections on 22nd August, the MLS University will strictly follow the guidelines of Lyngdoh Committee for which candidates of various unions have been prohibited for certain acts.

Student Welfare Dean Prof. D. S Chundawat informed that this year, the diploma and certificate course students will neither be able to cast votes nor stand for any post. To regulate guidelines strictly, the administration has asked the unions to restrict Dharna, display, slogan shouting and other such group activities.

Prof Chundawat said that the use of microphone, hoardings, and banners will be restricted and strict actions will be taken in form of videography during screening of films, hosting of parties, etc.  Also, printed publicity document will be restricted for use. If found guilty, the candidate’s application will be canceled.

To avoid outsiders during the election campaign, students will be checked for their IDs which they will have to carry in the campus.
