MBA (Engg.) run by College of Technology & Engineering, Udaipur is one such course where engineering graduates will be taught the latest management techniques to make them more efficient for the business world.

This course will produce T-shaped professionals who along with the technical subject knowledge will also get expertise in management subjects like finance, marketing and human resource.

This will ensure a better utilisation of their knowledge for the development of business & industry.

Along with the regular management streams, specially designed electives like Production & Operations Management, Information Technology Management and Technology Management are available to students, from which they can choose any one of their interest for specialisation.

The course will be officially launched on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at 1.45 pm in the CTAE Conference Hall.

Dr. Janat Shah, Director, IIM, Udaipur will be the Chief Guest, Mr. Vinod Kumar, Secretary General, Udaipur Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be the Special Guest & Prof. S.S. Chahal, Honourable Vice-Chancellor, MPUAT will preside over the function.

During the two years programme, special emphasis will be laid on providing practical & industry related knowledge and information to the students through regular industry interactions.

Lectures from faculties of top B-schools of the country & IIM’s, special lectures from top industry managers & professionals, regular industrial visits, case studies, discussions on contemporary issues, management games, industrial training & major research projects will be the major highlights of the teaching pedagogy.

The proficient managers so produced will prove to be an important asset to the business world in the county & abroad.

The course is a full time programme of two-year (four semesters) on the completion of which the student will be provided with the degree of MBA (Engineering).

For admission to the course, a student should be a graduate in engineering/architecture/pharmacy or post-graduate in Science (Mathematics/Statistics/Chemistry).

The college provides the facilities for training & placement to the students for which the placement committee headed by a professor is working regularly.
