The students of the first batch of MBA (Engineering) course run by the College of Technology and Engineering, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology have been selected in top private companies of the country for summer internship.

Dr. N.S. Rathore, Dean, CTAE informed that MBA (Engineering) course is a two-year full-time course specially developed to train the technical graduates in the basic intricacies of management. This course has successfully completed its first year of inception with regular academic and co-curricular activities. Highlighting the achievements of the first year, he informed that along with the academic activities, the students were regularly trained by eminent visiting faculties, corporates and subject experts in workshop mode.

In the two semesters of the first year, in addition to the fundamental knowledge, special emphasis was laid on industrial visits, case studies and lectures by eminent corporates to provide practical & behavioural knowledge to the students.  For the fulfillment of this goal, there is a provision of a 45 day summer internship after second semester and 4 month industrial attachment at the end of third semester.

Coordinator of MBA (Engineering) course, Dr. S. Jindal informed that all the students of the course have been selected by top companies like Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (Vedanta Group); Idea Cellular; Ostwal Computers; Surya Food Products (Priya Gold); Jubilant Life Sciences; Shree Cement; J.K. Cement; Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills, Banswara; Chambal Fertlizers; OEM Testing, Noida; Taj Hotels; ITL Ltd; ReGen Power Tech, Chennai; for summer internship.

The selected students have joined their training in these companies in the last week of May. The students will be able to correlate their fundamental classroom knowledge with the practical working in these organizations and get acquainted with the work culture of the corporate world which is very important from their future and career perspective.

He also explained that this is a specialized course combining the technical & management streams designed according to the need of the hour. This type of course is being offered only in IIT’s and leading central institutions and CTAE is the first institution in Southern Rajasthan to run this course. The students interested in taking admission to the course can get the admission related information from the college website. The admission process for the course will be open in the month of June.
