A meeting of the Academic Council of the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), under the chair of the University Vice Chancellor O.P. Gill, was held at the Vice-Chancellor Secretariat today, on 2^nd June. The major topics discussed and agreed upon in the meeting were,

· Invigilation Fee during University examinations to be increased.

· The Annual Event Calendar of the University was accepted.

· PhD courses to begin in Electronic and Communication Engineering and Computer Science

· Master of Technology course to begin in Structural Engineering.

· Acceptance of University Professor and Assistant Professors on Merit basis.

· University Brochure for 2012-13 to be released.

· Recommendation for the increase in the Doctoral Candidate Seats for various subjects.

· Proposal for the increase in the reservation from 2% to 5% on seats for dependents of MPUAT employees.

· Dr. R.P. Thakur, Retired Scientist ICRISET and Dr. H.N. Godh, Retired Professor, Agriculture College recommended to be affiliated with the University on the recommendation of the Rajasthan Agriculture College’s Plant Disease Department.

Dr. D.P. Gupta, Registrar, MPUAT informed that G.S. Chauhan, Member of the Secretariat, Dr. P.L. Maliwal, Dr I.J. Mathur, and superintendents of various other colleges were present in the meeting.
