Mohan Lal Sukhadia University celebrated the 23^rd Convocation Ceremony on 21^st December 2015 in the presence of Governor Kalyan Singh, Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria and Education Minister Kalicharan Saraf.

62 meritorious students received gold medal out of which 19 were boys and 43 were girls. 165 graduates dressed in traditional attire received their degrees in the 23^rd Convocation ceremony.

Governor Singh in his speech motivated the young generation to understand the meaning of life, keep a positive attitude, keep a big goal and strive to achieve it with all the courage, determination and passion in you.

‘Looking at the higher number of girls graduating shows a positive shift in the mindset of the society where girl education is taking a forward movement. The youth in fact, should be well ahead to amend the social issues,’ insisted Governor Singh.

MLSU has been organizing convocation ceremony on the 21^st December every year and this year, the university will be giving away the degrees to 58,900 students.

Minister Kalicharan Saraf highlighted the changes in the higher education system stating that Govind Guru Tribal University will be opened at Banswara letting the colleges of the region along with Dungarpur and Pratapgarh district to get affiliation with the main university.

Besides the main convocation event, a mobile application of the university was launched by the governor. Also, a documentary film made by MLSU’s Journalism & Media Communication Department was screened which showed the development phases of Raghunathpura gram that is adopted by the university.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof IV Trivedi, Mayor Chandra Singh Kothari, MP (Odisha) Prakash Singh, MPUAT’s Vice Chancellor Prof Parmendra Kumar Dashora, Tribal University’s Vice Chancellor TC Damor, JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University’s Vice Chancellor Prof SS Sarangdevot, delegates, presidents, staff, professors, guardians, media representatives and students.
