MLSU Launches campus Newspaper
Mohan Lal Sukhadia University launched its newspaper ‘Campus News’ today at the Vice-Chancellor’s office. The newspaper is launched in Hindi, whereas it will be bilingual soon.
Mohan Lal Sukhadia University launched its newspaper ‘Campus News’ today at the Vice-Chancellor’s office. The newspaper is launched in Hindi, whereas it will be bilingual soon.
The newspaper is an initiative of Prof. I. V. Trivedi, Vice-Chancellor, MLSU and will be maintained by the students of the Department of Journalism, UCSSH.
After the formal inaugural of the newspaper, Prof. Trivedi congratulated the students and praised their very first effort in the field of journalism.
On the occasion, L. N. Mantri, Registrar, MLSU, said, “It is a very big moment for a journalist when he gets his name registered as reporter/contributor for the first time. The field of journalism is full of challenges so all one needs is to be mentally strong to keep moving”.
Prof. Sharad Srivastava, Dean, UCSSH addressed the students saying that the launch of this newspaper is an historical event; this newspaper will prove to be a milestone in the life of these upcoming journalists.
Dr. Kunjan Acharya, Head, Department of Journalism welcomed the guests and said, “The newspaper will be in the form of a monthly Tabloid and the students of the department will work as reporters”.
Dr. Acharya also said, “In future we will also start production of Video News magazine for electronic media”.
The online edition of the newspaper will be available on University’s official website and is also referred on the facebook page of the Journalism department of the University.
