The Mohan Lal Sukhadia University Udaipur has announced that all examinations of all papers to be held on 17 June will stand postponed in cogniscance of the Biparjoy Cyclonic storm.
The University, in its notice dated 17 June announced that the news dates of the examinations so postponed, will be announced shortly on the the website of the MLSU.
Cyclonic Effect Across Udaipur
In other updates on the effect of the Cyclonic storm in Udaipur, the weather has been reflecting the cyclonic conditions, though rain fall is low to moderate across some parts of the district and wind speeds are controlled.
The intensity of the cyclone in Lakecity was only today. However, with the change of weather since last night, the rains have begun. Since this morning, along with the cloud cover, intermittent rains continued. Due to intermittent gusty winds trees and a large glass on the cardiology building of MB Hospital broke and fell on the road. Three to four cars parked on the road were damaged due to breaking of glass.
The cyclone showed its effect at Pai, Undri, Jhadol, Kolyari areas of the district since morning and there was torrential rain in these areas at 10 am itself. After this light winds continued to blow with the skies alternating between sunny and cloud cover.
A crowd of residents were seen enjoying the pleasant weather due to the cyclone on the banks of the city's Fatehsagar lake. From the Rani Road end of the lake to Fatehsagar, Mumbai Bazar and Pal shores, the residents of the city were seen enjoying the pleasant weather. Along with the wind, waves kept rising in the lake Winds were blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 km in the city today. According to the information received from the Meteorological Department Dabok, Udaipur city recorded 10.6 mm of rainfall in the last 12 hours till 5.30 pm. Whereas the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.2 degrees and the minimum temperature was 25.6 degrees.
