MLSU to Now Give Migration Certificate, Provisional Degree Along With Marksheet

Academic Council of Mohanlal Sukhadia University passes multiple proposals aimed at student convenience

Udaipur, Nov 18, 2025 - All students of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) who pass the Third Year (Final Year) examinations will now receive their migration certificate and provisional degree along with their original marksheet. This decision was taken at a meeting of the Academic Council of MLSU on Monday under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. BP Saraswat.

This will save students from being forced to make repeated visits to the university. The university administration claims that MLSU may be the first university not only in Rajasthan but also in India to provide this facility.

Many other student-friendly proposals presented by Controller of Examinations Dr Mukesh Barabar were passed unanimously by the Academic Council which are likely to benefit thousands of students.

One major decision taken was that if a student has passed the first semester or First Year of an Undergraduate programme from any other university in the country, he/she will be granted direct admission into the second semester or Second Year at MLSU. This step will offer significant relief to migrating students.

Also, students from the old annual system who were unable to obtain their degrees owing to one or two backlog papers will now be able to complete their Undergraduate or Postgraduate degrees. The Academic Council has decided to grant a special opportunity to all such students from the 2015 batch and onwards. An advertisement will be issued to complete this process.

Another important decision taken in the meeting was regarding duplicate marksheets. Duplicate marksheets or degrees are issued in the old format of the year in which the student passed the examination. This process is time-consuming and prone to risks such as damage or deterioration of old printed stock. It has now been decided that duplicate marksheets and degrees will be issued in the current updated format. This will save time, improve quality and ensure security through modern features such as hologram and QR code, keeping documents fully protected.

The meeting was conducted by Registrar Dr BC Garg and attended by Science College Dean Prof. CP Jain, Law College Dean Prof. Anand Paliwal, Commerce College Dean Prof. Shurveer Singh Bhanawat, Arts College Dean Prof. Madan Singh Rathore, Computer Centre Director Prof. MK Jain, DSW Prof. Meera Mathur and all Deans, directors and department heads.
