Udaipur, December 10,2024 - Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) has decided to establish the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) as part of its curriculum. Under this initiative, students will be taught Vedic Hindu Studies, Astrology, and Vastu Shastra. The decision was made during the Academic Council meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sunita Mishra.
The university also approved its annual academic and examination calendar. This will help ensure that academic activities are conducted smoothly and on time, benefiting both students and faculty.
PhD Work Extension Policy Revised
A new policy regarding PhD work extensions was introduced. No PhD candidate will be granted more than six years for completing their work, with the exception of female students, who will continue to be allowed up to eight years.
Leave Approval Process Updated
The university has updated its leave approval process. Any employee or teacher applying for academic, privilege, or duty leave will now need to seek approval from the Registrar. Additionally, after returning from academic leave, a brief report must be submitted to the concerned authority.
Financial Support for Departments
Each department will receive Rs. 50,000/- annually to organize workshops, faculty development programs, or seminars. A list of the approved activities will be uploaded on the university's website every December.
