MLSU to Host National Conference of Sociology

38th All India Sociological Conference on the topic, ‘Contemporary Indian Society: Challenge and Response’, will be organized by Sociology Department of MLSU from 27th to 29th December. More than 1500 sociologists are expected to present their views and more than 1000 papers will be read in the conference.

 

MLSU to Host National Conference of Sociology

38th All India Sociological Conference on the topic, ‘Contemporary Indian Society: Challenge and Response’, will be organized by Sociology Department of MLSU from 27th to 29th December. More than 1500 sociologists are expected to present their views and more than 1000 papers will be read in the conference.

Coordinator of the conference, Professor Balveersingh informed that Sociologists from various states such as Delhi, Kerala, Haryana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal etc will participate in the conference. Subject experts from Nepal, Bhutan, USA, Australia etc are also expected to present their view on the topic.

Conference will be inaugurated on 27th December at 10:30 AM in MLSU auditorium in presence of the Chief Guest, a well known sociologist, Yogendra Singh who will also be the chief speaker of the day. On the next two days, conference will be organized in the Arts College.

Paper will be presented on the following topics –

· Emerging societies and social discourse of BRICS countries

· Development dispriority and distributive Justice

· Globalization and culture interface in India

· Idea of Rajasthan: A sociological construct
