MLSU–19th Convocation: Dec 22

The 19th Convocation ceremony of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) was held at the University Auditorium today, 22nd December 2011. Shivraj Patil, the Honorable Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor of MLSU was the Chief Guest at the event.

The 19th Convocation ceremony of Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU) was held at the University Auditorium today, 22nd December 2011.

Shivraj Patil, the Honorable Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor of MLSU was the Chief Guest at the event.

Deans of Colleges, members of the Management Committee and Educational Council, Prof. Chahal (Vice Chancellor of MPUAT), Prof. Divyaprabha Nagar (Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Vidhyapeeth) and former Vice Chancellors Prof. Naag and Prof. Rai were also present in the ceremony.

MLSU–19th Convocation: Dec 22On this occasion 27 students were honored with Gold medals and 41 students were awarded Masters degrees and PhDs in various streams, viz. Science, Commerce, Law, Social Science, Education and Management by the Chief Guest.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. I.V Trivedi welcomed the guests and in his address to the assembly and outlined the achievements, Educational Research and development done by the University in the Golden Jubilee year.

He said “we are delighted that we could achieve our goals and objectives successfully that were set for the year. The University is emerging continuously in terms of education and development which is beneficial for both students and society.”

While addressing the assembly, the Governor also complimented and congratulated the recipients of degrees and expressed hope that these degrees would help the recipients to be independent and to help others to independent.

He said, “I am pleased to be here today; such kind of functions accord me the pleasure to be around the youth and interact with them. Youth is the future of our country and while interacting with them I get an idea of what our future is going to be.”

The Chancellor was overwhelmed with the fact that a major number of recipients of degrees and those selected for getting Gold Medals were female students. He also mentioned that only academic certificates are not enough for a person to excel in life, and knowledge of the outside world is also equally important.
