As per the directions from the State Government, elections for the student council body for Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) are all set to be held on Aug 17, 2016. Announcement of the elections has been made by the Directorate of Students Welfare.

With the announcement of election date, the model code of conduct is now in place. Any candidate found violating the model code of candidate will be disqualified from the process.

As per the information received from the Directorate of Students Welfare, final electoral list will be released on August 10. Candidates will be able to file their nomination for various positions on Aug 11 from 10 am in the morning till 3pm in the afternoon.  Candidates will be able to take their names back on Aug 12 post which the final list of candidates will be released.

Elections will be held from 10am in the morning till 1pm in the afternoon on Aug 17 and the results will be announced on the same day evening.

Chief Election Commissioner Y.C. Bhatt has formed a committee of election officers and counting in-charges. The entire electoral process will be carried as per the student constitution, Lyngdoh committee recommendation and state government guidelines.
