44 Gold Medals to be Awarded at MPUAT Convocation on Dec 22
Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagade to preside over MPUAT’s 19th convocation ceremony
Udaipur, Dec 20, 2025 - The 19th grand convocation ceremony of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) will be held on December 22, 2025, at 10:50 am. The convocation will take place at the auditorium located in the RNT Medical College campus and will be presided over by the Chancellor and Governor of Rajasthan, Haribhau Bagade.
State Minister for Agriculture and Horticulture Dr Kirori Lal Meena will be the Guest of Honour. The convocation address will be delivered by Professor Bhagwati Prakash Sharma, president of the Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Peace and Sustainable Development operated by UNESCO and former Vice-Chancellor of Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh).
During the convocation ceremony, the Governor will confer degrees, medals and certificates upon 1,181 students who passed in the academic year 2024-25. This includes 934 undergraduate students, 171 postgraduate students and 76 PhD scholars. Students from various faculties such as Agriculture, Engineering and Technology, Community Science, Dairy and Food Technologyvand Fisheries will be awarded degrees.
In recognition of academic excellence, a total of 44 students will be awarded gold medals. From this academic session onwards, the tradition of awarding the Vice-Chancellor’s Gold Medal will also commence.
Also present at the convocation will be Vice-Chancellors of various universities, former Vice-Chancellors and members of the Board of Management and Academic Council among others.
