A three member team from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission visited Meera Girl’s College of Udaipur today and inspected the campus.

A three member team from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission visited Meera Girl’s College of Udaipur today and inspected the campus.

The NAAC team is on a three day visit in which they will inspect several aspects of the college including infrastructure, academics and co-curricular activities.

The team first inspected the college building and checked the class rooms, library and other facilities. An interaction meeting was also conducted between former students and parents of the current students.

On the basis of the inspection, a report will be prepared which will be forwarded to UGC who will finally grant grade to the college. The grade of the college will decide the fund to be given by UGC for several development works.

Today the team also inspected cultural activities in college. Tomorrow they will inspect hostel facility and will observe sports and games activities.

According to the information provided by college authority, the inspection is based on two factors viz. quality and quantity. In quality the NAAC member will check classes, teaching methodology, status, and placement result, social activities like NSS, NCC and YDC.

Quantity is comprised of building structure, facilities of wi-fi, IT center, e-library and knowledge center etc.

At present, Meera Girl’s College has B++ grade.
